Alpine Road and Pescadero Creek Road

If I remember right, Alpine Road continues on as a narrow two lane road past the Portola State Park turn off. Then it narrows to one lane in parts of Memorial Park. Alpine Road becomes Pescadero Creek Road after the turn off that goes to La Honda. It speeds up to 45 - 55 mph and it becomes wider.
This is approaching the beaches. This oddly reminds me a little of Western Kansas on I70, but there is no beach there. The hills are similar though.
