US50 East in Nevada
This is dropping into Carson City. The highway overlooks the Minden and
Gardnerville area better than
Carson City itself. You can see this grade easily from the valley.
The hills in the distance generally do not have snow on them long, at
least from what I have seen.

This is almost at US395
in Carson City.

US50 East of Carson City quickly becomes rural. It is dubbed the
"nation's
loneliest highway." US6 would be actually more lonely. I have never
done
US50
East
of ALT US95 in a car, but I have flown over it many times. It
looked from the air like it would be very scenic. From 33,000' you can
see the entire Nevada segment of US50, and US6, in about 15 minutes.
I would
guess you would see maybe 10 cars in rural stretches of US50 East of
Fallon
during the day. Ditto for US6 in Nevada. Flights from the Midwest and
east
headed for the Bay Area fly over US50 or US6.
