G21 East / Capitol Expressway

These are from 1/19/2013, on Capitol Expressway from Almaden Expressway to I680. This section does not appear to have G21 signs officially on it any more in the Capitol Expressway Auto Mall, though it used to. This expressway was built in 1978 except for the section near I680. The last part was done in 1997. Also Capitol Expressway ends at I680 and it does not extend onto Capitol Avenue. It was proposed that Capitol Expressway and San Tomas Expressway would turn in to each other.
This is four miles past Almaden Expressway and this by US101.

This is by Silver Creek and there is a diamond lane starting about here. The speed limit drops to 45 MPH about here. This is five miles past Almaden Expressway.



This is by Aborn Road and this is five miles past Almaden Expressway.



This is by Quimby Road and this is six miles past Almaden Expressway. Quimby Road used to be Highway 130.



This is before Tully Road. This is seven miles past Almaden Expressway.
