US101 South in Santa Clara County

The oleander divider gave way to carpool lanes and a concrete divider in 1991. The Yerba Buena Road interchange was added, and linked to the Capitol Expressway interchange. This is from 2/19/2009. The surrounding hills are pretty in the springtime.

US101 rounds a bend here, and this is from 2/19/2009. Before 1996, this part of US101 seemed rural. In the 1980s, it seemed as if you were out in the country past this point.
