I280 South in Santa Clara County

This is approaching the ramp to US101 South in 1988. The interchange was not fully complete when I280 was finished in the early 1970s; it had a partial interchange with US101, and you had to use surface streets for some of the approaches to or from US101. The loop to US101 North is from the early 1970s. The flyover from I680 South to US101 South is the tallest. There were some old ramps from before that were demolished soon after the new interchange was completed. The sides of the new ramps were made with colored concrete.
