I80 becomes 75 mph after leaving Omaha and largely remains 75 mph
(including trucks),
until
Fernley, Nevada.
Nebraska is hilly near the Missouri River and then flattens out.
Actually
most of Nebraska is flatter than Iowa by far. It has continuous
corn
fields in the west and central parts of the state. East of I76, it is
flat.
At I76, it climbs abruptly and for many miles into the Rocky Mountain
Foothills
and then the Rockies.
Getting back on I80 just west of Omaha at Mile 428. In the summer this area is very lush and green.
This is a weigh station about Mile 428 where I had to go through a weigh
station
before getting on the freeway. Notice the I80 shields that Nebraska
uses.
This is Mile 428 and note the green, flat landscape.
Lincoln, Nebraska
This is Mile 405, and this is junction US77 North. Note the heavy road work. I80 was
a
super 2 temporarily through here through the road construction. This is in Lincoln and this is also the 56th street exit.
US26 West
