This is the Shields Ave exit.
The Panoche Hills and Tumey Hills show up good from here. They're owned by the BLM and can be accessed off Shields Ave (J1 and Proposed 180.)

[I5 South]

This ispproaching 198. This was taken on 12/25/2001. When I did this ride you could barely make out the mountains near Quacking Aspen on Highway 190, about 80 miles away. It didn't turn out in the picture.  This is a feat for the normally smoggy Central Valley.
