Highway 85 South in California

This is the old (pre-1994) section of 85, which was open around 1973. It is bumpier than the new section (south of Stevens Creek Boulevard.)  This is the Stevens Creek Freeway.

Here 85 South is approaching Fremont Blvd.

The diamond lane was added around 1998. This section carried little traffic before 1994.
