This part of 580 used to be US50 and US48. This is climbing Altamont Pass in June 1995. Note the windmills at the top. This route is formerly US50.

This is from Diedrik Edholm of I580 West by 84. 84 West has been changed in Livermore. I tried doing it once to I680 in 1993 and it was a slow road back then in Livermore. This is by Mile 51. In 2018 I was pretty surprised to find out I had distant relatives living out here in the 1800s. I am going to be out here more so I will get more pictures of this area. 84 has a new interchange with I580 and it is on an expressway south of here for a few miles. It will be widened at some point to I680. 84 East has a gap for a while north of here.
