US101 South in Monterey County

This is approaching San Ardo in March 1996, and there are a lot of orchards here.
The Lockwood-San Ardo Road exit accesses a few poorly signed BLM plots to the west called William's Hill. West of there you can go into the Los Padres National Forest. The terrain to the west of here looks like eastern Wyoming almost.

[US101 South]

This is the westernmost 70 MPH freeway in California.

San Ardo is the next town here.

This is looking roughly towards William's Hill. This area is very attractive in the springtime.
