US101 North in Santa Clara County

This is approaching the Highway 85 interchange on 2/19/2009.

This is just south of 85 in April 2004. Note the road work for the carpool lane interchange (similar to I405 and I5 in Orange County.)

Here is US101 at Bernal. The carpool ramp is to the left, and the older (circa 1994) flyover is to the right.

This section now has a diamond lane and is eight lanes wide, since 1991. The 85 interchange was built in the spring and summer of 1994. The interchange opened in July 1994. 85 was opened from Almaden Expressway to Stevens Creek Boulevard in October 1994. This is from 9/29/2004.

This old sound wall was replaced in 1988. This was the start of the Bayshore Freeway until around 1985.
