US101 North in Santa Clara County

Quite a few of these are from 11/21/2006, but a few are from the 1980s. This section was widened mainly in the late 1980s and from 2001 - 2003. 25 also was signed as 25 with California Highway 180 until 1984. Of course 180 is proposed to run westwards again, but not quite this far. You can eventually reach 180 by taking 25 to J1. The interchange with 25 was built in 1989, and it was a dangerous intersection before then.

This is from 10/18/2008 on US101 between Monterey Road and 152 East. US101 does not usually look this good this time of year through here.

This section of US101 was built in 1973, and is similar to old sections of 85.

These next photos are from 8/19/2006, taken on the section of US101 from 152 to Cochrane, which was built in 1973 and resurfaced in 2003. It is six lanes wide, and a steel guard rail divider was added after fatal wrecks in mid 1999.

This is by Leavesley Road in 10/2003. This area has been developed a lot since this section was built. The Gilroy Outlets were built here in 1990. G9 East does not appear to ever have been 152.
