Exit 197 (Hirschdale Road)

I took this exit to reload my camera. This set is from April 1999. This was a La Niña year, so there wasn't a lot of snow that year. During most years, this area is covered in snow from December through February. It will receive snow until June or July, but it won't stick very long after February. I80 is climbing if you are going Westbound, and dropping if you are headed Eastbound. Donner Summit is over 7000' and Reno is only about 4400'.
