This is one of the most dangerous mountain passes around when it is snowing. It is extremely beautiful on a clear day this time of year.
Malad Summit is 5574' up. The Mendenhall family helped found Dayton in 1868 and also there is a big Mendenhall family cemetery in Dayton. I am related to them.
