The Interstate 15 Exit at Nipton Road, with the road that leads to Kelso, and this is in San Bernadino County.

These two photos were taken at the I15 exit by Kevin Pyles in February 2001, after a La Niña snowstorm.

This is the road that leads to Cima and Kelso from the Nipton Exit. It was snowy like this almost all the way to Kelso. The snow had melted before reaching Kelso because the elevation kept dropping. Thanks to Kevin Pyles for these rare photos of the desert with snow.
