Taken 9/4/2001. This is a take off to the north east, overlooking US12 (Michigan Ave) for a very long way. The downtown skyline of Detroit is partially obscured by haze and the sun.

This is Concourse B of the Smith Terminal (American, America West, Delta, and the gates used for ex-TWA (now American), as seen in May 2002, while on the way to Concourse A (Southwest). Gates B9 has a Delta plane next to it. B8, B7, B6, and B5 are empty in this photo.
