99 South in Madera County (former US99)

There is room for eight lanes, though only six are actually being built. This is about Mile 162. There used to be two lanes each way and there was an oleander lined divider. Also, there was an old billboard sign removed in this section. It was not creepy at all to drive this in the past.

The Avenue 20 Exit in Madera County

This is just past Ave 20 1/2, from 7/8/2005. 99 has been interstate grade south of here for a long time, and the speed limit climbs to 70 MPH. It is a noticeable change in the highway.
