Monterey Highway Southbound (Former Highway 82)

These are all from 5/30/2009, of Monterey Highway from downtown San José to Blossom Hill Road. This highway was signed as 82 for a very long time until 2013. This highway was bypassed around 1942 by Bayshore Highway. I originally had maybe two photos of this stretch up at all in all the years my site has been online. This route is actually signed with Highway 82 signs. This section was widened in 1990.

This is just past Willow Avenue, near downtown San José. This is really First Street briefly. There is a sign for G8 (Almaden Expressway) at Alma Avenue.

Right after that is Capitol Expressway (G21.) The interchange was built before 1980 or so.
