Highway 58 East in California (former US466)

This is four miles west of I15, and eight miles east of the bottleneck.
From Hinkley to Barstow it is very cluttered, it is a 60 mph, and two lane highway (about as scenic as some parts of Bakersfield on 58) with a lot of houses, junk yards, and tank junkyards along the way. Most parts of 58 between Barstow and Bakersfield that are two lanes wide have been cleared out for a future freeway, but not in this section. A junk yard is here with tank parts and old buses.

This section of divided highway was built mainly in 1997 - 1998. This exit is to the old route 58 (formerly US466).  US91, US466, and US66 used to meet in Barstow.
