152 East in Santa Clara County, California

This is the last climb on 152 East. In October 1998 a very thick concrete divider was added to this section. This section of highway was built between 1973 to 1986. This is 13 miles past US101.

This is 13 miles past US101. There actually are a few houses to the south of here.

The climbing is still pretty steep here, 14 miles past US101, but is not as bad as just a mile or so before this.

The summit is just a few hundred feet ahead, along with the Merced County line. This is 14 miles past US101, and Dinosaur Point Road is to the right, and it is old 152. The old roadbed is mainly underwater after this. 152 is not really steep at this point. I've only seen flurries up here once.
