This shows the Pacheco Pass area and the back country of Henry Coe
State Park in the distance. In the foreground you see the backside of
the hills that form part of the East San José skyline. Most of
them are
2000 feet to 2800 feet.
This is in the east end of Grant Ranch County Park. You begin to see
the observatory fairly close up.
This terrain is similar to 180 in the foothills on the way to King's
Canyon National Park or 58 west of Tehachapi.
We had to turn around about three miles east of Mount Hamilton
itself.
This must be about 4000 feet up.
This is looking towards North San José.
