US23 North in Michigan

This route is a freeway briefly after it splits from I75. It is a proposed freeway all the way up to I75 near Mackinaw. US23 roughly follows the shore of Lake Huron up to Mackinaw City. It is a scenic route. These are from Kevin Weed from August 2016. I have been out here before.

The first good look at water. This is Tawas Bay in side of the much much
larger Saginaw Bay. The Peninsula out in the distance is Tawas Point State
Park.

After passing the road back to Tawas Point State Park 23 turns north where
it will now leave the Saginaw bay area and run the rest of the way up along
the Lake Huron Shoreline.
