Interstate 8 West in San Diego County

This is Interstate 8 (former US80) approaching Interstate 5. US80 continued along present day 209. The remaining part of I8 was briefly State Route 109. This part of I8 is the Mission Valley Freeway.

The highway narrows after passing I5. The freeway name changes to the "Ocean Beach Freeway."

This is the last mile or so of Interstate 8.
This is the western terminus for Interstate 8. The other terminus is in central Arizona, near Casa Grande.
