Here I80 reaches I57.

Mile 127
Here I80 reaches Joliet, Illinois.
You will see a lot of traffic here, and east of Chicago on I80 you will see it also.
This is almost where I80 and I55 (former US66) meet, and this is in western Joliet. This is by the Joliet Park District Airport.

Mile 126
This is junction Interstate 55.
After this point, there won't usually be any traffic congestion until Salt Lake City, Sacramento, and Oakland.

Mile 122
This is in Minooka and the freeway is rural at this point. Illinois is not as flat at the Central Valley.
