Interstate 80 East in Nevada

This is I80 by Mile 40 and Fernley is after this. This is in Churchill county.

This is taken after the last Fernley exit and as of 2019 I80 has an 80 MPH speed limit up to Winnemucca. I80 has a lot of 75 MPH sections headed east until Iowa.

Interstate 80 enters a long stretch with few exits, some up to 20 miles apart between Exit 48 and Exit 83.
In some areas Interstate 80 has a median about two miles wide through here.
This part of I80 has a high accident rate thanks to the extremely desolate environment. This part of I80 also has chain requirements in some storms, though the elevation is low for I80 in Nevada.
