I5 North in Orange County

I5 in Orange County is 12 lanes wide north of Camino Capistrano. The carpool lane is in the center divider and has many entrances and exits. It has direct access to most of the freeways that intersect it, through their carpool lane. It is wild driving this carpool lane. It zig zags through some of the large interchanges and its generally protected by a center divider. There is one carpool lane in each direction for the most part, but in some areas there are two.

This is I5 North at JCT 73. Highway 73 wasn't even a dotted line on a map until the 1990s. Toll freeway signs are blue in Orange County.
