I5 at the old 805 merge (1989 vintage). The left 3 lanes become 805, the right two lanes remain I5. These two highways meet again near 905. The oleander divider has since been removed.

This is the tricky 805 / 5 Merge. It has been improved quite a bit in the past decade or so. I5 exits to the right, and the main part of traffic takes I805.
