Exits 52A and 52B are for Route 236.

This is one of two times US50 comes in contact with the Capital Beltway. The other is on the eastern side of the loop, where US50 is a freeway and unsigned I595.

Exits 49A and 49B are for I66, the only two-digit interstate to actually venture inside the nation's capital. I66 east ends about 10 miles east of here at US29. Westbound, it continues for roughly 67 miles before terminating at I-81 in a rural mountainous area.

"Capital Beltway" and "Inner Loop" signs are under the reassurance shield.

I495 northbound gets its access lanes in this area, although they only last for a few miles.
