Arroyo Seco in Monterey County

This is where people in the Salinas Valley go for recreation and to cool off in fresh water. It is in the Los Padres National Forest and easy to get to. Don't conjure up visions of a National Forest resembling Truckee or Lake Tahoe. This is a lot like the forest just north of the Inland Empire (on I15.)

This peak is really noticeable on US101 South of Greenfield.
