99 North in Madera County (former US99)

This is after Ave 20 1/2. 99 past this point is not a freeway for 14 miles north of about 152, but it is south of here.
This is entering the reworked section. This is the Berenda area of 99, and 99 will be six lanes wide (freeway) with room for two more lanes. This is about Mile 161.

The new pavement is concrete and it is noisy, but not like I80 in Nevada. The oleander lined center divider is gone. All intersections will be replaced. This is about Mile 161.

The interchange in the distance is halfway done and it looks like 99 was rerouted slightly through here. This area was not like this the last time I went through. This is about Mile 161. I was surprised to see this section finally being upgraded.
