Interstate 805 North in San Diego County

805 ends at I5. The lanes of 805 become the mainline lanes of I5. This interchange has been gradually improved. It will be a dual freeway, like I696 and Michigan 10 (former US10) in Southfield.  I guess the highway planners intended on 805 carrying more traffic than I5 into San Diego. And there is an actual "END 805" sign here. I805 becomes the mainline of I5 here. I5 merges in from the right.
