58 West (former US466)

This is Mojave and JCT 14 (former US6.)
This town was bypassed by a new freeway section of 58. Note the windmills on the mountains.
This is 45 miles west of 395.

This is heading toward the hills. 58 veers to the left to climb into the hills, and it resembles US50 climbing into the hills west of Carson City. The mountains shown here are the back side of the Southern Sierra. This is 47 miles west of US395.

This is scanned off negatives. It took five minutes to scan this and at least 15 to readjust the color. This was not printed when I had this roll developed.

This is the grade you can see from Mojave and East of Mojave. It reminds me of looking at Spooner Summit from Minden, Nevada (on US50.)
