Interstate 280 North in Santa Clara County

The rest of these are from 7/14/2006. 280 has changed little here since the end of 1990. I used to have this commute in the early 1990s and I'm glad I no longer have it! This is under I880 / 17. Note how much the freeway was widened in the 1980s here. Also, 280 used to start here; the loop to 280 North was the start of I280 for a while. The overpass pillars were reinforced around 1989 here.



This is just north of I880. A pedestrian overpass was torn out and replaced here around Fall 1989.



This is the Winchester overpass of I280. I280 around here was built around 1965.



The diamond lane opened around December 1990. Before that, this part of I280 was only six lanes wide in total.
