This is the north end of the Hollywood
Freeway. It was built with
cloverleaf interchanges designed so that you didn't really have to
worry
about merging with the other cloverleafs. Pretty cool. It was built in
a park in North Hollywood. This set is from April 1988, so I am sure
this
area has changed since then.
170 merges into the center divide rather than the right shoulder of
I5 at its northern end. Another freeway (64?) was supposed to go from
the
170 and I5 interchange towards Santa Monica. 14 was also supposed to
run south of the I5 / 14 interchange. This is near Roscoe Blvd. Also 170 was proposed to run down to the area by the Los Angeles Airport.
