140 West

This is probably near the Stanislaus County line. Following 140 can be a bit confusing in Merced, and you have to briefly enter then exit 99 to stay on 140.

Dropping into the valley, and Merced lies in the distance. From almost Merced you see a sign that says "Gilroy 83."

These are taken near Newman (like Kramer, its another great Seinfeld name for a town)

This is the backside of the mountain range you see from Silicon Valley.
Mount Hamilton is just right of center in this picture on the horizon.
 

The dark ridgeline is probably Red Mountain, along the Santa Clara - San Joaquín - Stanislaus County line.
