12 North in North Carolina
These are all from the summer of 2007 courtesy of Brian. Driving
through Buxton. While all of the towns on the Outer Banks are
small, Buxton is one of the smallest. There are probably a lot
more
locals
living
in this town than Avon, though.
Buxton is a pretty nice place.
This is the northern end of Buxton during the evening.
Leaving Buxton.
This is just north of Buxton.
The beaches of the Outer Banks are a really nice place to walk at
night, if
you're into that kind of thing.
This is a nice view of the sunset over the sound.
Avon is in the distance.
This is looking north in Salvo during the late morning. This is at
an
old-fashioned gas station. This is one of few gas stations to be
on
the "ocean
side" of Route 12. Salvo is about the size of Avon.
